At 3:30 pm eastern time, 9th ranked Ohio State hosts Tulsa after coming off of a devastating loss to Oregon in the home opener last week.
The Buckeyes have been faced with many questions around the defense that day days has not performed to expectations and Head Coach, Ryan Day, has not shied away from admitting he is disappointed with how their defense has played under Defensive Coordinator, Kerry Coombs. The defense has not said a word all week
The focus this week has been making adjustments with a sense of urgency. The team is hungry and Garrett Wilson said it is the best practice the offense has had this season. Look for a for a more tightened up linebacker rotation and trying guys at different spots after starting safety, Josh Proctor, was carted off the field last week with a season ending leg injury. Most notably, Day suggested that there will be a change in who is calling the defense and which coaches are in the booth and which are on the sideline.
Wide receiver, Garrett Wilson, said it’ a team effort and even the offense could have done more but one position that Ryan Day will not be changing is at QB, saying that CJ Stroud was not their problem. Though there has been some uncertainty around Stroud under center, he threw for 778 yards and 7 touchdowns with only one interception in his first two games so Day stressed the run game needs to lend some support
These answers will come soon in a very informative game for the Buckeyes here at the Horseshoe .
