The Buckeyes on this team have not dealt with many loses especially during the regular season which explains the more somber tone at today’s practice. There was a sense of urgency….but the defense is still a bit of a question mark. In today’s media availability, no defensive player was available for media but offensive tackle Nicholas Petit-Friar said that the mood of the whole team is that they are hungry. And he’s noticed a difference at practice in the details…doing the small things right like how they stretch, they way they walk into a huddle, things that they have always done but losing track of them may cause a lack of focus. Running back Mayan Williams harped on that as well saying that there’s a strong mental focus this week that will drive them through these next two home games before getting deep into conference play.
